He sounds like a man trying to say Nolan's version of Batman was great because that's what his own version would have been if he'd had the opportunity to finish it, and also trying not to say that because he knows it sounds absurd.

Quite the exegesis! Some comments below the video suggest that Keaton may have been herbally enhanced during the interview, but I've seen and heard other Keaton interviews in which he sounded equally incoherent. Maybe this is just how he thinks and talks.
