While I would have liked a better US representative, Nancy Pelosi is currently in Taiwan despite plenty of threats and hyperventilation by China.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan on Aug. 2, in spite of continued threats of violence from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its propaganda organs.
Pelosi issued a public statement upon arrival in Taiwan, celebrating Taiwan and the United States’ shared commitment to democratic values in the face of adversity.
“Our Congressional delegation’s visit to Taiwan honors America’s unwavering commitment to supporting Taiwan’s vibrant Democracy,” Pelosi said in the statement.
“Our discussions with Taiwan leadership will focus on reaffirming our support for our partner and on promoting our shared interests, including advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific region. America’s solidarity with the 23 million people of Taiwan is more important today than ever, as the world faces a choice between autocracy and democracy.”
Too bad Pelosi represents the party of autocracy. That said, I'm all for tweaking China's nose from 80-some miles off its coast. China is asshoe, as the guy said.

Yeah, it's a mixed bag, for sure. Pelosi is the face of failure, but that said, you can't let China dictate where she does or does not travel. I fear something big is coming...
