From my perspective as an out-of-shape distance walker, what the US military calls rucking is basically fast walking with a heavy pack (the ruck or rucksack) on your back. It's intense. The pace is brutal, as are the usual distances; I'd have no hope of maintaining that speed or enduring those distances* with a pack on my back. Still, I have great respect for people who do it well. There's an art to it for sure.

*In a different video about army fitness testing, one requirement was a 12-mile ruck in 3 hours with something like a 50-pound pack on your back. A 4-mph pace while encumbered is insane, especially in hot weather. I'd keel over and die before I even hit one mile.
