the witch-doctor powder my boss gave me

My boss said he'd gotten several boxes of this tiger-milk mushroom powder (mixed with passion fruit!). You're supposed to dump it straight into your mouth, or you can mix it with a liquid and drink it down. 1-2 sachets, only once a day, after eating a meal. I'm doing my hits at lunch since the meds are at the office. And Lignosus sounds like a saint's name.

Packaging's in English, and the mushroom is from SE Asia, so this isn't a Korean thing.

"Tiger milk" also sounds promising.

  1. I'm ecumenical when it comes to what works. If it's helping, keep taking it! Speaking of which, how's your ticker plugging along? I would just bide my time and hope for the best. Whatever it is, time heals all. And there are always the dreaded doctors with their pharmacopeia of drugs if it comes to that. But your body will, in all likelihood, succeed in reestablishing some sort of homeostasis and all will be well. We are, after all, built to survive and thrive.

  2. The ticker seemed fine today. Here's hoping for a continued upward trend.

  3. Looking forward to updates on how the Tiger Milk works for you. I'm looking for something that reverses the symptoms of old age.

  4. How does it taste? I happen to like passion fruit, so I would probably like it if it tastes like that.

  5. Charles,

It tastes okay. No bitterness or anything, and a little of the passion fruit does come through. The amount of powder in each sachet is tiny: 1.5 grams. It has about the consistency of flour, so when it hits the saliva in your mouth, it gums up in about the same way as flour, but because it's only 1.5 grams, it's there and gone.
