I've been busy this week with trip prep, a new laptop, and other things. As a result, early-morning exercise took a hit. This was supposed to be Week 4 of a ten-week, multipronged program I'd created for myself (dumbbells, heavy clubs, kettlebells, elastic bands, calisthenics, isometrics, animal/primal flow, etc.). I think, given how badly I've screwed up this week, I'll need to do Week 4 over again next week before progressing onward. I've had to drop a few things because of my frozen shoulder, including all the animal/primal flow (which involves both arms) and some of the bodyweight-calisthenic exercises like the stair crawl, as well as side planks on the left side (I do a heavy-kettlebell farmer's walk for that part of my core instead). Other exercises seem to be okay as long as I don't push my rotator cuff too hard, but every once in a while, I'll make a sudden, accidental movement, and a flare of pain will cause me to grab and rub my left shoulder.
So this week was a wash. I'm still aiming to do my "crazy walk" soon, but since I spent last week essentially avoiding walking because of my sore throat, I need to "build back up" before I go out and potentially ruin my feet with a super-long walk. First things first, though: Week 4 again next week. The ten-week program will now be an eleven-week program. And I need to behave better with my eating.
