I've got work waiting for me when I get back from the States. Both of my large ceiling lights have finally died, and my floor is all funky with "grease" prints from my oozing right big toe. The problem with the lights, like last time, might have nothing to do with the LEDs themselves, but rather with a little box (the power driver?) that has given up the ghost. I'm tempted not to repair or clean anything since I'm moving out soon, but the example of Japanese people shames me: from what I've heard, the Japanese leave their apartment spaces scrupulously clean when they move out. My boss said Koreans leave the spaces dirty because cleaning in that context is considered bad luck, but that was my first time ever hearing that.
Here are some pics of my problems:

nasty, gross toe prints |
The toe prints happen when the blood from my big toe starts to ooze through the bandage. Since this bleeding is in its early stages, the bandage performs a kind of sifting action, straining out solids like red blood cells and leaving only—what—plasma, I guess. The plasma leeches out and makes contact with the floor as I walk. Result: thousands of toe prints. When I get to the States, one of the first things I need to do, after renting a car, is to buy little toe condoms so I don't besmirch the floor of my hotel and my best friend's house.
When I get back to Seoul, I need to use a Swiffer with a few wet towels to clean that mess up. Might as well not live like a pig during my final few months. As for repairing the lights: I think I can order the necessary lights via Coupang, as I did last time when my kitchenette's LED panel went out, but as before, it may only be the power-driver box that needs to be replaced.
All stuff for when I return.
