postal scrotum

A couple posts ago, I griped about travel sites not updating their info on Phuket. A possible explanation for why those sites haven't updated is offered by Scott, who writes:

Hi Kevin,

Re: "already breaking promises and tsunamiblogging", you said, "I'm a teetotaler, but I think, for the first time in my life, I need a drink."

What you missed is the likelihood that the folks at the 'bad' websites are on their 2-week vacation. A lot of companies in The West have their only real vacation during Christmas/New Year. And high-tech/web companies are especially gracious in just shutting the office altogether for about two weeks at the end of December.

I think you'll see the un-updated websites getting in gear by the close of business this Monday.

I hope this is right. Will check back with those sites later in the week.
