first sale!

I went to the comments section of an Instapundit open thread and announced the arrival of my book. Within minutes, I had a buyer. Just the one so far, but here's hoping that's a sign of things to come. Some people responded to my announcement by pointing me in the direction of people involved in dispensing homeschooling info, so I'll be chasing down those leads as I continue to figure out this marketing thing. I saw it on a YouTube video first, but another respondent suggested becoming a YouTube personality, gaining followers, and marketing the book that way. That's actually one of my projects this year: becoming a video personality. God help me, especially post-stroke.

Anyway, first sale. Woo-hoo!

  2. Ha ha. It's just one book, but here's hoping. I am now exploring the vile armpit known as Reddit.

  3. I've written two posts, so far, on the r/homeschooling boards. One got disappeared, probably because it violated a "no advertising" policy for that particular board. The other is flourishing at 822 views and counting. How many of those views are bots...? No idea. Still, that's already better than the daily view count on my blog most days. Reddit may be worth sticking with for advertising purposes.
