weird

According to my stats meter, 74 people read my review of "The Dig," but only 21 people have, thus far, read my review of "The Batman." You'd think there'd be a lot more interest in the latter, but I've given up trying to figure my audience out.

  1. "The Batman" has been out a while and has been discussed at length everywhere as it was expected to be blockbuster following several other Batman films. While most people haven't heard anything about "The Dig" unless they are movie buffs or fans of the actors. Did it even play in cinemas like the massive release "The Batman" received to go along with it's media blitz?

  2. So your theory is that a less-popular movie might generate more interest when reviewed? Interesting.

Wikipedia says "The Dig" did have a very limited release in theaters before it began streaming on Netflix.

  3. I may be one of the very few readers who doesn't watch movies but still reads your reviews. Your thoroughness in writing about the film is, for me, the next best thing to being there. Kinda like reading about your long-ass hikes without having to actually exert the energy to participate.

  4. I'm inclined to agree with John. Everyone has heard about "The Batman," so they might not be all that chuffed to read yet another review.

  5. Charles,

I guess, statistically speaking, they're three times more interested in a review of "The Dig."
