as I suspected

As a precaution, I took a COVID test just now. Result: negative. I wavered as to whether to take the test; my current symptoms are so minor that they barely qualify as a cold. But we now live in an era where an abundance of caution is the order of the day, so...

only one visible line = negative

I just love ramming Q-tips up my nose to get snot samples.

The whole testing thing was prompted by my boss's having gotten COVID. He's out for this week. My Korean coworker then started complaining of getting cold symptoms, and as he was leaving yesterday, he said he'd probably take a COVID test just to be sure. I'd been dealing with a very light sore throat and occasional sniffles. My instinct was to dismiss this as, at worst, a minor cold, but with my boss's and coworker's examples pressing down on me, I caved this morning and took the test. Upshot: I may be a tiny bit sick, but it ain't COVID. So—off to the Samsung office to get my phone fixed. Finally.
