Jordan Peterson is not what you'd call the manliest of men. He's thin as a rail and cursed with that high-pitched, blatting voice that reminds some people of Kermit the Frog. But he's a ferocious public intellectual who is at the tip of the spear in the public discussion of the modern world's denigration of masculinity, often called toxic masculinity by the left. As a result of Peterson's fight to rehabilitate masculinity—not to mention his crusade against the forced usage of proper pronouns—he's caught plenty of hate.
Konstantin Kisin discusses this below.
A clever commenter on Instapundit joked that, if masculinity is so toxic, those single-parent homes ought to be really successful. I'm sure the crime statistics bear this out.
