I didn't even know the second GOP debate had happened, so I'm playing catch-up. I've noticed that Liberal Hivemind is no longer quite so enthusiastic about Vivek Ramaswamy, whose business ties are now being exposed. I'm not surprised to find out Ramaswamy may have both shifted positions on some matters (e.g., starting out more globalistic and pro-China before shifting to a more Trumpian, America-first posture) and had business ties that make his current policy positions seem a bit awkward. If he's sincere in changing some of his positions and sincere about his new policy proposals, then he's still worth rooting for even if he doesn't have a chance of becoming the GOP nominee for 2024. He could perhaps parlay his way to the VP position or to a spot on Trump's cabinet. Or he could end up cast aside and forgotten like Andrew Yang. (Andrew Who? Oh, the Universal Basic Income guy.)
Meanwhile, the video below focuses a lot on Chris Christie's performance during the debate; he's trying hard to position himself as the anti-Trump. It's not going to work, but Christie seems deaf and blind to the possibility that no one fundamentally takes him seriously.
People are again saying Debate #2's big winner was Donald Trump, who wasn't even there.
