Blog buddy John McCrarey got bitten several times by his dog Lucky (John has two dogs; the other is Buddy). This might be related to the stress involved in moving: that day was move-in day to John's new residence. If I understand correctly, Lucky went from merely recalcitrant to outright vicious, practically chewing up John's left hand and forearm. There is now a huge trust issue for John since this attack seems to have come out of nowhere. Lucky, meanwhile, has settled down and is, according to John, acting as if nothing happened. If you have any advice for John on how to deal with a hair-trigger dog, visit his post and leave a comment.

It only hurts until the pain goes away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out. The wounds are healing, and the memory will fade. I'm still waiting for Lucky to say I'm sorry.
