I'd been expecting a whole slew of packages from Coupang, and all of them came in but one. The message on my phone said "delivery complete," but... no package at the drop-off point. Normally, Coupang packages are supposed to be delivered to my door, but some occasionally end up at the lobby's front desk, with the guard-concierges (경비원/gyeongbi-weon), so I decided to check with them. The concierges work in shifts; when I checked last night, I was faced with the concierge I don't like, but he did make a grudging effort to look for the missing package. It wasn't there. Today, before going to work, I tried again with a different concierge, and still nada. Tonight, however, as I was approaching my studio's door, I saw a package quietly sitting there, and when I got closer, I noticed the following:
The number written in large, red marker says "1416," but I live at 1418, which it clearly says on the shipping label (alas, I blurred that out). So this was a case of human error, and I'm guessing that my neighbor two doors down was kind enough to plop the package by my door.
Coupang has done me wrong before, but previous times, the error was never this easy to figure out. At least I didn't have to call anyone.
