Geography quiz here. 73 questions. I got a 98/100, which translates to a 72/73. I'm rated a "Ferdinand Magellan."
The quiz is fairly easy because it's multiple choice, and you can easily deduce the correct answer via process of elimination. There are other geography-related challenges online, though, so if this quiz doesn't do it for you, find another.

Well, let's hope you have a better fate than Magellan. His death is still celebrated here in the Philippines...
ReplyDeleteI wonder how I got a 99%?
ReplyDeleteThere was one challenging question, a tiny country in Europe on the coast near England. I got hung up on Denmark and Netherlands. I'm pretty sure I was right with Netherlands, but that was the only one with options close enough to challenge me.
Probably the Netherlands if it was tiny. Denmark is larger and farther north being, as you know, a Scandinavian country.
ReplyDeleteWe Yanks constantly confuse the Danes and the Dutch, the Swedes and the Swiss. Some of us even confuse Austrians and Australians.
You're right, Kevin. The thing is, that question was the only one where two countries were close enough to be possible. I mean, I was certain Kenya and Thailand (or whatever the other two options were) were not in Europe.
ReplyDeleteI have an embarrassing amount of trouble recognizing Peru from Chile. But when that question came up, the options were Chile and three countries on different continents.
