Kari Lake has officially lost the gubernatorial election in Arizona, and in Georgia, it now appears that Herschel Walker (R) has lost his Senate race to Raphael Warnock, the pastor who thinks Jesus would have approved of abortions. (Whatever your stance on abortions, I'm pretty sure Jesus would have been horrified.)
Not that I'm all that exercised about a Walker loss. The man has a very checkered past, and questions of character have dogged him for the entire election cycle.
Google currently puts the Senate results at 49-49, which is different from results I've seen elsewhere. Twitchy, a rightie site, puts the results at 51-49 for the Democrats. Whatever the case, the Republicans do not have control of the Senate, and Walker's defeat only compounds the problem. I don't care much about Walker losing, but Raphael Warnock seems to be a fairly toxic character: take a look at this summary of his stances and policies. The Hill (which can never be confused with a rightie site) talks about Warnock's failures and misdeeds here.
The 51 comes from their apparently being 2 independents that vote liberal.
