tossed and turned

I never sleep well the night before the first day of the new semester. Don't know why. Low-grade stage fright? Maybe. An introvert's trepidation about meeting new people? Could be. I think a little nervousness is good for you-- keeps you alert. Anyway, it's almost 6:30AM as I write this, and class is at 7:40.

Off we go.

  1. I still get nervous before the first day of classes, too.
Last year at this time, I wore light beige pants on the first day. I began to sweat wildly in class (I know you understand) and noticed I had sweat through the knees of my pants. Embarrassing and ridiculous!
