a belated meditation on Peter Jackson's Hobbit films

The Critical Drinker is at it again, this time with a very belated criticism of Peter Jackson's well-intended-but-way-overblown Hobbit trilogy.  Many of the Drinker's gripes are ones I've heard before, but every now and again, it's good to review the litany of problems that arose from such an ill-conceived project.  Enjoy.
