Read this FactCheck.org article on how many people died "as a result of" the January 6 "riots" (not a riot, and not an insurrection), then ask yourself the real question: how many of those counted dead actually died on that day as a direct result of all the "riot"-related activity? (Keep in mind that FactCheck.org is not a rightie-friendly site. It is beloved of many leftie magazines like Time, and it has partnered with the very left-wing Facebook.) The site notes that at least one person died just before the incursion in the Capitol began, and several law-enforcement officers committed suicide days after the event. None of these deaths should be counted as "riot"-related.
The article makes it clear that it certainly wasn't ten people who died as a direct result of the day's furor. More like one or two, including one unarmed woman—Ashli Babbitt—shot by Capitol Police. Neither person who died that day died because of the "rioters." Of course, this is the sort of information the left will conveniently ignore.
