An American tourist fell into the crater of Mount Vesuvius in Italy while trying to take selfies in an area where tourists aren't allowed. The tourist, Philip Carroll, first lost his phone in the crater, then fell when he attempted to retrieve it. Carroll sustained only minor injuries from the fall, but he was unconscious when rescue workers got to him. Carroll refused to be admitted to a hospital, but he was arrested by Italian police for his stunt. Read more here. Only the best and brightest Americans can be tourists! Represent our country well, friends!
