bloggers mentioned in the Chosun Joongang

Many thanks to Jason for emailing to point out that the Marmot has linked to a Joongang Daily column about Koreabloggers (or, more popularly, "Korbloggers" or "K-bloggers").

I had no idea that there are around 270 Koreabloggers now. It makes each of us that much less special.

Particular kudos to Baduk, who is noted in the article for his prophetically dogged pursuit of cloning phony Dr. Hwang Woo-seok. Could Baduk be our Delphic Oracle?

Now, the question is: does this article appear in the Korean version of the Joongang? That's where it would do the most good and bring in the most hits.

[Thanks to EFL Geek for alerting me to my Chosun/Joongnang mistake.]

And the Big Hominid gets a mention! Congratulations! I'm guessing the reporter didn't use your quotes because they were too scatological, right?

I wonder where he came up with the 270 blog count, though. That seems like an awful lot.

Kevin,
I think you mean the Joongang Daily, not the Chosun. Somehow I doubt it'll be in the Korean version since it was written by a forienger.

Charles, I'm pretty sure there are far more than 270 blogs based in Korea. How many of the total are worth reading is another story. I was incredibly surprised to see my blog mentioned since I do not generally write on Korea at all.

Yeah, I guess 270 expat blogs in Korea isn't that far of a stretch. It just surprised me how little of the expat blogosphere I'm exposed to.

That's probably a good thing. I have a hard enough time keeping up with the blogs I do follow.
