a belated Happy Liberation Day

Yes, it's the time of year when the South Korean president gives a big speech on the occasion of South Korea's liberation... but as always, the speech will never mention who the liberators of South Korea were because, well, that would be shameful. It's better to pretend the South liberated itself, yes, Precious. So once again, no thanks to the United States, and no thanks to the United Nations! Sure, the ROK will erect statues in honor of certain foreign troops who fought in the Korean War (1950-53), but for those who liberated Korea from the clutches of the Japanese (1945)—not a peep, not a word, not even a thankfully expelled fart.

Happy Liberation Day!
