Well, Happy December, Poison Girls. Hard to believe we're already here. For all its stresses and problems, 2022 went by faster than I thought it would. I'm nowhere near where I thought I'd be in terms of projects; my lone triumph was the publishing of the very tiny Think Like a Teacher. Aside from that, I'm way behind with my movie-review book and nowhere near starting my other book projects. How has 2022 treated you?

Living through 2022 has certainly been better than the alternative.
ReplyDeleteYour goals list is very ambitious. You've accomplished more than you give yourself credit for. As a reader, I'm quite often shaking my head in wonder--where does he find the time? You've written some amazing reviews, created masterpieces in the kitchen (including creating fake meat), and planned and executed an ambitious hike around Jejudo. And, of course, your blog is a potpourri of interesting insights on a wide variety of subjects.
So, even if you didn't cross things off that list as planned, it's not like you've been wasting your time. Cut yourself some slack and keep on doing what you do!
Had another kid, took care of my mom, translated over a thousand pages, edited several thousand more, and gained about ten kilos. Not a bad year, all in all! My first resolution for the new year will be to be a more faithful reader of the blog. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteDaniel,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new spawn! Each child presents his/her own unique challenges, but by this point, I imagine you're a veteran dad.
Good to know your mom is still hangin' in there.
Thanks for stopping by.
John,
I appreciate the reassurances. More foolishness to come in 2023!
