Made five years ago, "Sound of Freedom," which stars Jim Caviezel (Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ"), followed a long, hard road to get any sort of release. It is now out in select theaters, and the usual elements are doing their best either to downplay the film or to suppress it entirely. With all these forces stacked against it, "Sound of Freedom," in its first week, still beat out "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" in its second week. "Sound of Freedom" was, in fact, the highest-grossing July 4th movie. All that on a measly $14 million budget. Tim Pool gives a slightly spoilery review below.
