Just a few minutes ago, my brothers were cracking jokes about Korean studio audiences and their constant, annoying "ooh"-ing. If you watch Korean TV, you know what I'm talking about-- the mostly-feminine "ooh"s you hear whenever the show is Having A Moment. As I overheard Sean telling David: "...and it doesn't matter if the moment's sad, or happy, or serious! Ooooohh!!"
We have laughter and applause and "awww" cues for our studio audiences as well, but they never sound quite as robotic as that awful "ooh."
I wish I'd seen the North Korean Borg-cheerleaders in action.
