Short version:
1. Ban has made some gaffes.
2. John Bolton gives Ban an "A" for effort and an "Incomplete" for substance (not entirely fair, in my opinion); Bolton is generally supportive of him.
3. Ban is impressive for being so active.
4. Ban has been more outspoken than some might think regarding issues such as Sudan, climate change, etc.
5. Ban prefers to work behind the scenes.
