The French are voting in record numbers (article in French), so yes, they take their country's fate very seriously.
At the time the article was written, there was a 75.11% voter turnout, and it's possible that, by the end of voting, the 1974 record of 87.33% will be beaten.
I'm off to bed. By the time I wake up, France will likely have its new president. My guess remains that it will be Nicolas Sarkozy.
If the rumors are true, then his wife will celebrate by banging another man.
