My thoughts are with all the people involved in the recent Minnesota bridge collapse: the victims, the rescue/recovery workers, and all the concerned friends and relatives who can only stand and wait. State officials and businessmen involved in the bridge's repairs (it was being repaired at the time of the collapse) have my cautious sympathy. Not long from now, some people will be asking who was responsible for this mess. It might turn out that it was no one's fault, but that's going to be tough to argue as the death toll mounts and emotions run high.
