WOW again

...but for a different reason this time. Here's something you don't see every day. We need to see more of this. Or-- if it's been going on & hasn't been assiduously covered, then our news agencies need to get off their asses and start covering these kinds of pronouncements. Some of the lingering questions have been, "Where are the moderate, peace-loving Muslims? Where are the Muslims trying to reclaim their religion for peace? Where are the Muslims willing to dialogue with the West?"

A friend of mine contends that Islam needs to change, but that change has to come from within. If so, it needs to be in the form shown in this article.

You can't help wondering if Grand Sheikh Mohammed Sayed Tantawi, having made such a loud pro-peace/pro-dialogue announcement, is going to live to see the end of the year. Keep an eye out for any news about him in the coming months. Send me an email if you find news. Good news, we can only hope.
