stone-carver

Fascinating exposé by Nat Geo on what goes through a stone-carver's mind as she's working on a project:

  1. Thank you for this. I at one time had aspirations of carving stone. I have worked in clay, wax, and wood, but life took directions away from my sculpting.

I noticed that the stone forced her to use less relief in the hair than the clay model.

Well-done film. I had a strong identification with her as she worked.

    Peace,
    Bill
