I think I could last longer than 45 minutes in the quietest chamber in the world, courtesy of Microsoft. Read more about this room here. From the article's bullet-point summary:
• Microsoft spent $1.5m building quietest place on Earth at its Redmond campus
• Small room is housed within six concrete layers on vibration-damping springs
• Walls, floor, ceiling are covered in giant wedges of fiberglass foam to stop echo
• It's so quiet that nobody has been able to spend more than 45 minutes inside
All of a sudden, I want to visit this place. Very badly.

I think you might be underestimating the effects of complete sensory deprivation. It does sound like a neat challenge, though.
