The fuck-up turned out not to be a fuck-up. Sort of. Here's the text message that angered me a couple days ago:
Note that it says "Jelly mould." That's not what I'd ordered. I'd ordered circular dough cutters (for biscuits, cakes, scones, etc.). So I was pissed even before I went to pick my item up. Then I got my parcel today, and... well, look below:
Fancy that. The correct item came, but it had been identified incorrectly. So there was still a fuck-up, but not the one I'd been anticipating. OK, cool. So, I won't need to go through the refund/return process, then. Which is nice.
