According to MyFitnessPal, the diet/exercise app I use, a six-minute walk upstairs is 85 calories burned. So going up fourteen floors four times (yikes) means 340 calories burned, not to mention a great 24-minute cardio workout. I'm not sure whether my knees can actually take such a beating, but I'm going to do a stair-climbing experiment sometime this week or this weekend to find out. There are plenty of exercise options at my fingertips that I'm not taking advantage of, so the time has come to start taking advantage of them.
