Interestingly, around 16:49 in the above video, Joe goes on a rant that evokes the Sermon on the Mount—the same scriptures I had meditated on not too long ago regarding public piety. The term "virtue signaling" wasn't around in Jesus' day, but Jesus definitely warned against such behavior, and Joe, who is as upset as I am by Christians who insist on assembling in the midst of a pandemic, hammers this point home pretty well (and with some colorful language—so be warned if you have tender ears and a fragile heart).

Joe McPherson on current life in Korea
