US journalism is just a big ol' circle-jerk

Here's Tim Pool on how journalists live in mini-bubbles divorced from facts and reality, only talking to and citing each other instead of doing the actual legwork of gathering real, verifiable information and transmitting facts instead of opinions. American journalism is a gigantic circle-jerk, with journalists spooing each other in the face and glorying in the stink and the goo. From a distance, I have to say the whole enterprise is disgusting. And this, friends and neighbors, is why I exclusively watch and read the alt-media.

The term for this is incestuous amplification. There used to be a Koreablog by that name.
