My spam folder went nuts the other day and ate a bunch of comments—both mine and those of my visitors. I have no idea why this happened, and the problem apparently went back several years (one comment was from 2014). I clicked "not spam" on everything in the trash, and while I'd like for this not to happen again, I'm betting it will. Now that I know the problem exists, I'll be extra vigilant about my spam folder. Apologies to everyone affected.
Since you're a vigilant reader, and you've read the comments policy that sits atop the comment window, you already know that I don't publish anonymous comments (unless I can guess who they're from), even the nice ones, so you know to sign your comments with a name or screenname. You do your part, and I'll do my part.

READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING!
All comments are subject to approval before they are published, so they will not appear immediately. Comments should be civil, relevant, and substantive. Anonymous comments are not allowed and will be unceremoniously deleted. For more on my comments policy, please see this entry on my other blog.
AND A NEW RULE (per this post): comments critical of Trump's lying must include criticism of Biden's lying on a one-for-one basis! Failure to be balanced means your comment will not be published.
