I wouldn't go so far as to ennoble Elon Musk by suggesting that he's a man who sticks to his deeply cherished principles. For example, he comes off as pro-free-speech in America, but he has deep interests in China, where he has at least two Tesla facilities. China is about as anti-free-speech as you can get, but Musk obviously cares only about the money, not about the fact that he has a facility in Xinjiang, site of the Uyghur concentration camps. Musk is a pragmatist, not a man of principle (unless you count pragmatism as his core principle). Especially if you're a rightie, I'd be cautious about putting a man with three nationalities (US, Canadian, South African) on a pedestal. Nothing guarantees his first loyalty is to America.
