tongue of madness!

I seem to have developed a case of either thrush or geographic tongue. It's harmless thus far—more an annoyance than real cause for alarm. If it's thrush, it could develop into something worse if I'm not careful, so I'm going to try a home remedy (apple-cider vinegar plus baking soda) for a few days before I give up and visit the doc to get some drugs. Thrush can apparently be associated with diabetes, so there's that connection. What's frustrating, though, is why it's happening now. Why didn't it happen during my walk or before? It's not as though my diet has changed radically since I came back to Seoul. Ah, well... it is what it is. A few days of the home remedy, then I'm off to the doc.
