And now it's turning out that Nathan Phillips, the Native American at the heart of the Covington incident (which took place in DC, where several rallies were happening simultaneously), is an out-and-out liar.
I do have to admit, though, that I can't stand the expression on the kid's face. (His name is the Gaimanesque Nick Sandmann.) He reminds me of some of the smug, dickheaded punks I taught back when I was a high-school teacher in the early 90s—the very essence of Backpfeifengesicht. I remember one kid named Chris who thought he was Jim Carrey. What a fucking asshole.

"What a fucking asshole." Are you sure it wasn't really "Baby Snakes" Jim Carrey or Alyssa Milano, Kathy Griffin and Chris Evans? At least Jamie Lee Curtis had the balls to publicly apologize about her bad snap judgment.
I rarely even bother engaging in political "debates" with my friends on the left, having mastered the art of "scrolling past" their silly FB posts. After one liberal friend had posted a screed against the Covington boys based on the first video I kept my eyes open to see if he'd offer a mea culpa. Nope, it never came but I was shocked to see him double down and continue to blame the high school students. That's how pathetic the left has become and that is why there is no hope for finding any middle ground on any issues.
I took the very rare step of unfriending him on FB. Ignorance of that magnitude is something I just can't abide.
