The YouTube channel Donut Operator is run by a guy who is ex-military and, I think, former law enforcement. This means he knows a lot about law and procedure, making him a perfect fit for commenting on police videos of suspects being taken down. He's currently got 4.43 million subscribers, so he's obviously pretty popular. I've watched a few of his vids; they rarely show much in the way of blood and gore, partly because the police footage tends to be mostly from body cams, which shake a lot as the police are running, although it's occasionally also from car dashcams, which offer steady points of view. So the charm of this channel is that you get to fill in the blood and gore in your own mind while our host narrates.
A good number of these recorded incidents result in the death of the suspect, but again, I have yet to see stark, steady footage of bullet-ridden corpses. For a channel about the dirty underbelly of humanity, it's surprisingly PG-rated.
In the video below, we've got a drunk guy who's just coherent enough to think he can (1) resist arrest and (2) get away from the officer. You'll need to watch until the end to see what eventually happens to the guy (although the thumbnail provides an idea). Pro tip: being drunk means you make nothing but a string of bad decisions. Don't get drunk.
If Donut Operator has a name, I can't find it on his YouTube channel or on his website.
I'm impressed that you find all these places on YouTube. I actually made it all the way through this video, which is saying a lot for me...
ReplyDeleteI think this channel was a suggestion from the almighty algorithm.
