funny take on Rachel Zegler

When she appeared in Spielberg's "West Side Story," Rachel Zegler barely registered in my consciousness. I knew little about her, except that she was a talented singer. Now, however, she strikes me as yet another insufferable, over-entitled Hollywood moron given the stupid things she's been saying of late. There are young twenty-somethings out there who are wise beyond their years, and then there's Rachel Zegler, slated to play a dusky version of Snow White in another PC live-action remake of a Disney classic. Zegler has told two different stories about her relationship to the fairy tale. In one story, she grew up with Disney and was inspired by the character of Snow White. In the other story, the movie "Snow White" scared her to death and left her unable to rewatch it for years. Zegler's interviews since that time have leaned heavily on the idea that she hates the old version of Snow White and is eager to put out this new, empowered, anti-patriarchal version who doesn't need a prince and is born to become some kind of leader. In adopting this stance in interview after interview, Zegler has been single-handedly torpedoing the upcoming movie's prospects. As is typical for Hollywood leftists who don't understand their audience, she has responded to backlash against her and the film by blaming sexism, patriarchy, etc. What's going to happen next is sadly predictable: the movie will be a turd on arrival, Disney will again lose millions of dollars, and all the wrong reasons will be cited for the film's failure.

Here's Ryan Long's hilarious take on the matter:
