Prepare to have your mind blown:
I watch Veritasium videos only once in a while. They generally go over my head, as the above video also did. But they're well put-together and generally fascinating, and in this video's case, I think I was able to follow along at an intuitive level. I really ought to watch more Veritasium.
By the end of the above video, I was wondering how the equation in question might be applied to the epidemiology of the current coronavirus epidemic.
