Reason.com comes at problems from a libertarian angle. In the following video, Peter Suderman sits down with the American Enterprise Institute's James Pethokoukis to talk about Bernie Sanders's worldview. How socialist is it? How grounded in reality is it? What would a Sanders presidency mean for the USA? And does the "Scandinavia argument" actually hold any water? (Hint: I've blogged repeatedly that it doesn't.)
If you're a leftie who takes a dim view of anyone from the AEI, I get you. You can already anticipate the tenor and content of the interview in the video. I agree that you can, but (1) don't commit the genetic fallacy and dismiss information just because of its source, and (2) try expanding your horizons a bit by actually digesting an opposing argument. Me, I get opposing arguments all day from the mainstream media; I'm forced to digest views I disagree with. Do yourself a favor, move out of your bubble, and try digesting alongside me.
