This is the first time this has happened since last October:
Not a single drop of blood!
We shouldn't get too excited, of course: I'm still leaking into my bandage:

But this is a good sign that real healing has been happening. The wound is definitely closing if my heavy ass isn't squeezing more fluid out of my toe when I walk. The stains on my sock and bandage have served me well as markers of progress: the healing proceeds apace. I still can't judge when I won't be leaking anymore, but I continue to think I'll be distance walking by summertime. Just in time for the hot weather!
Here's what the wound looks like now:
I'd call that an improvement from even just four days ago.
The nightmare will soon be over. This has been quite an adventure—not one I'd like to experience again anytime soon.
