Jamie Foxx is only a year older than I am, and he's arguably in much better health than me overall, but as you know, he recently suffered a medical emergency that left him in a life-or-death situation. Here he is at last, providing us with his own health update while still being cagey about what really happened:
I'd guess the man had a stroke, and while it was more severe than mine—given the initial reports of how the emergency flattened him—it appears he was lucky enough to get treated right away, and he seems to be firmly on the road to recovery. Good for him. When I had my incident, I got some awkward, vaguely rude questions about "Aren't you a little young to be having a stroke?"—but as I discovered in the stroke ward, there are some really young patients there. And if someone as fit as Jamie Foxx can be felled by a stroke, then anyone can.
That was weird; I clicked on the video to hear Foxx and got to watch a news feed about everything but Foxx. Interesting though. I haven't seen a local news broadcast in the USA for years. Made me glad to not be there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads-up. That's what I get for embedding a video from a non-YouTube news site. I've gone to YouTube and found the video I'd originally watched, and I've replaced the news-site garbage with the new YouTube video. It ought to work now. Foxx is sounding a bit slow, but he's looking more or less healthy and coherent.
