NaNoWriMo'ers, beware!

Dr. Vallicella offers this perle de sagesse from Baltasar Gracian (1600s):

Never show half-finished things to others. Let them be enjoyed in their perfection. All beginnings are formless, and what lingers is the image of that deformity. The memory of having seen something imperfect spoils [our] enjoyment when it is finished.

Perhaps Lorianne is right to keep her NaNoWriMo work out of the public eye...?

Bleh. Charles has already clocked in at 2,399 words, and I'm enjoying his story.
