the streak is now broken

It had to happen at some point, I guess, but the US has now had its very first COVID-19-related death. It occurred in Seattle, Washington. From what I understand, most of the confirmed infections in the US are people who traveled in China. However:

The man who died was in his 50s, had underlying health conditions and no history of travel or contact with a known COVID-19 case, health officials in Washington state said at a news conference.
For a while, the talk was that you had little to worry about unless you were over 60 or very sick, but a lot of the cases I've read about involve people in my age bracket, i.e., the 50-somethings. Some of the dead are people in their 30s, so no one should be too smug. Stay healthy and safe. Wash your hands often!
