the next "Chef's Table"

Next on my Netflix queue is "Chef's Table: BBQ." I've already watched Episode 1, which features the grande dame of Texas barbecue: 85-year-old Tootsie Tomanetz, the kind of grandmother you just wanna hug and hug. She manages Snow's Barbecue in Lexington, which was rated Number 1 in 2008—a rating that put Snow's on the map. Tootsie's had a hard life, losing her husband and son; she moonlights as a custodian at a local high school, and her story over the course of the episode is an interesting one.

Anyway, I don't think I'm going to review every episode individually this time; my previous reviews took a lot out of me, and given the topsy-turvy nature of life these days (for those who've been following the shenanigans), I think the best I can manage for this four-episode miniseries is an impressionistic review. So watch out for that in the coming days.

Barbecue!
