I haven't had numbers like this in a long while:
Over 7000 visits in a 24-hour period, and I have no idea why. This is a random thing that seems to happen about once or twice a month, and it's the reason why I'm able to stay above my desired minimum of 20,000 visits per month. According to research, half of these are bots, of course, but even 3,500 people—that's an impressive stat for me. Since I average about 600-700 visits a day, in real terms, that's about 300-350 actual humans daily. The above is a tenfold increase. But why, God, why? The heavens offer no answer.
So I just ride the wave and enjoy.
