The minivan departed this morning. I didn't see it happen, but I heard it. A lot of sweeping, the sound of glass shards being dumped in heavy-duty waste containers, the grinding and whining noise of a tow truck (whether crane or flatbed, I don't know). When I stepped out around lunchtime, the street was minus one honey-roasted vehicle.
And so... life goes on. I miss the burnt-plastic smell already.
